Welcome to my website

Hi this is me, Sue of Squiggly Sue Designs.  I work from my 'shedquarters' at the bottom of my garden in Derbyshire where I try and be creative over many, many cups of tea and sometimes cake (lots of cake)!


I love to paint the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire and the Peak District where I live. I am particularly drawn to trees and foliage in my work.  I also create pen & ink pet portraits or what I like to call 'Doggy Doodles' on a commission basis but I started out making papercuts and I still do this but mostly made to order now such as children's name frames which I really enjoy creating.

Many of my original works are available as prints and gifts and are available over in my online shop.

Staunton Harold Artisan Show - August 6th & 7th

I'm really excited to be taking part in this fantastic event next weekend.  It's the first time this event has been held and the line up sounds amazing. 

  • Fantastic artisan food & drinks offering mouth watering treats
  • carefully selected artists producing the finest pieces of art.
  • set in beautiful location with the private garden & church open.
  • music from a great line up of 12 acts performing live over the weekend
